Russula is proud to announce its first project in India at M/S Welspun located in the Anjar, Kutch, Gujarat region . In collaboration with Fives Stein India Projects Private Limited, the project involved converting an existing 200 TPH digital walking beam furnace from heavy fuel oil to natural gas.

Russula's scope of work included the engineering and development of a new PLC program with Schnieder Unity Pro software and development of the HMI SCADA with Schnieder Vijeo Citect. The existing Welspun furnace PLC was adapted to accommodate the new configuration.

Over the past two years, Russula has been developing a high performance engineering team in India . The commissioning of the said project is in progress and the startup is expected to finish by the end of March, 2010.

Since the opening of the new office in March 2010 , this project marks an important milestone for Russula to supply high performance engineering solutions to the growing India Steel Market.
