Gerdau Ameristeel Manitoba awards Russula its first contract
May 10, 2010 11:25Russula is pleased to announce that it has received a contract to modernize the #4 Mill Straightener for Gerdau Ameristeel Manitoba in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada.
Russula will supply modern ABB DCS800 DC drives and integrate them with the straightener’s existing motors and automation. Russula is also responsible for installation supervision, commissioning and training.
This project represents the first modernization project for Russula at Gerdau Ameristeel Manitoba . It also represents the 14th rolling mill with drives from Russula in North America.
Russula is an independent engineering company specializing in upgrades and modernization projects for the steel industry with major offices in Spain, Brazil, Argentina, India and Atlanta, GA.
