North Star BlueScope awards Russula contract to supply water treatment systems for melt shop expansion

North Star BlueScope awards Russula a contract to supply the melt shop water treatment systems for an expansion project that adds 950,000 short tons of sheet capacity to its hot strip mill production in Delta, OH.

Project Aristotle will boost melt capacity with the addition of a third EAF, two new ladle furnaces, a new baghouse and a second slab caster.

Russula will provide high-tech water systems designed to optimize water and energy efficiency. Mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering, installation supervision, startup support and training are all included within the scope of supply. In addition, Russula will provide production support for the first six months of operation.

Commissioning of the water systems is anticipated for 2021. Russula is honored to be chosen by North Star BlueScope for this prestigious expansion project.
