Water treatment plant for meltshop expansion

2020 - Delta, OH - USA

North Star BlueScope awarded Russula a contract to supply the water treatment systems for the melt shop for expansion that added 950,000 short tons of plate capacity to its hot strip mill production in Delta, OH.

The Aristotle project increased melting capacity by adding a third EAF, two new ladle furnaces, a new baghouse, and a second slab caster.

Russula supplied high-tech water systems designed to optimize water and energy efficiency. Mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering, installation supervision, start-up support, and training were included in the scope of supply. In addition, Russula provided production support during the first six months of operation.

The water systems were successfully commissioned in the summer of 2022. Russula is honored to have been selected by North Star BlueScope for this prestigious expansion project.
