The Multidrive lineup 300 that controls the motors for the cooling bed and roller tables will be replaced with the modern ABB ACS880-X04 series with RRU (Regenerator Rectifier Unit). The new drives will be installed in new cabinets and integrated into the control system using Profibus communication. Russula will supply the drives, engineering, testing and on-site services such as installation supervision, commissioning and production support. 

ABOUT GERDAU PETERSBURG
In operation since 1999, the Gerdau Petersburg plant is a recycled scrap steel mill that manufactures structural beams and sheet piling. The mill The EAF uses 98% recycled materials. Steel produced from Gerdau Petersburg has been used in the construction of iconic structures like the Freedom Tower to critical infrastructure like the Panama Canal.
