Successful Factory Acceptance Tests during CMC Steel visit to Russula

Commercial Metals Company Steel in Alabama USA has entrusted Russula for the automation and drives upgrade of the intermediate and finishing stages of its mill. As part of the software engineering scope, Russula will be updating the existing mill control application with improvements that have been developed since the previous supply of the mill control in 2019.

For one week, the CMC Steel and Russula team worked hand in hand to successfully perform a Factory Acceptance Test on the new equipment, prior to shipping it to the plant. A FAT reduces on-site field connections and speeds up the switchover process during the installation and commissioning phase.
