Gerdau Midlothian orders loop former table from Russula

Located in Texas, Gerdau Midlothian has ordered a new loop former table for its mill which produces reinforcing bar #3 up to #11, and plain rounds 5/8” up to 3 1/4”.

The Gerdau plant in Midlothian, TX, USA contracted Russula to supply a new loop former table, which replaced an existing one that was installed when the mill was originally built in 1975. The mill produces reinforcing bar #3 up to #11, and plain rounds 5/8” up to 3 1/4”. In addition to the mechanical equipment, Russula supplied the engineering, installation supervision and commissioning support.

Russula will provided a customized design uplooper with a rollerized trough, base and adjustable exit guide to fill in the space between the stands, installed between stands # 16 and # 17 in the finishing end of the bar mill. Low maintenance, easy adjustability and interchangable spare parts are the main features of this design. The new uplooper was put into operation in January, 2018.
