Russula and Celsa Group: More Than 35 Years of Partnership

Celsa Group was Russula’s very first customer, and more than 35 years later, the partnership is still going strong.
The relationshiop that began over 35 years ago remains strong thanks to Celsa’s ongoing commitment to upgrading its processes and Russula’s ability to provide innovative, effective, and tailored solutions.

In recent months, we’ve been working together on new projects focused on improving efficiency, automation, and digitalization across their plants.

Celsa Nervacero

As part of its journey toward a more modern and efficient plant, Celsa Nervacero has once again chosen Russula to help improve its production processes and traceability.
This new project includes laser sensors for the shears and an upgraded positioning system. The plant will also incorporate new labeling robots integrated with Mill Pulse®, reinforcing traceability and enabling more efficient final package management.

Celsa Atlantic

The Laracha plant, in collaboration with Russula, has launched several strategic upgrades to its bar mill and other critical equipment.

One key improvement is the renewal of the shear positioning system, which will be replaced with new, more robust and maintenance-friendly controllers. This will enhance operational control and simplify equipment management.

Additionally, Celsa Atlantic has initiated the first phase of the rolling mill control system upgrade, which includes updating converters and modernizing the control systems for both the reheating furnace and the water treatment plant.

The project also includes a full system upgrade that will unify all control applications and simplify daily operations for the plant's personnel.

Celsa GSW continues to focus on operational efficiency with the upgrade of several drives, replacing them with more efficient, reliable, and higher-performance converters.
The replacement will be carried out without altering the existing infrastructure, minimizing the impact on production.
