In January 2016, Dojran Steel signed a contract with Russula to do a major overhaul on its plant. Russula will supply a new 350,000 tpy bar and section mill that includes mechanical equipment, an automation system and all the technical support necessary for Dojran Steel to expand its current product range and improve its finished product quality.

Russula presented a technical paper in the SEAISI conference, organized by the South East Asia Iron and Steel Institute, on May 30 - June 2, 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. During the presentation, Daniel Sanchez, the Russula Sales Director emphasized how a long product mill can improve productivity and product quality through automation.

Last November, the Gerdau and Russula team successfully commissioned the first part of an electrical upgrade for Gerdau’s bar and wire rod mill located in Jacksonville Florida. Gerdau maximized the upgrade by improving not only the mill functionality but also the safety features of its drives.
