In November of 2016, LAMINOIR DES LANDES (LDL) awarded Russula a contract to supply the electrical and automation equipment and a water treatment plant for its new heavy plate mill in Tarnos, France.

Russula was contracted to deliver the complete
automation and drive system upgrade for Nucor Steel Utah’s rolling mill #2, located in Plymouth, Utah, the third and last phase of a
multiphase upgrade project. The objective of the multi-phase upgrade was to update obsolete automation and drive systems.

The finishing block upgrade, Phase 3 of the multi-phase upgrade was successfully completed at the end of last year. The multi-phase revamp approach permitted Evraz (Rocky Mountain Steel), located in Pueblo, CO, USA to upgrade obsolete control equipment at the plant’s convenience and minimize mill downtime to reduce the impact on production. The upgrade of the mill, rod mill outlet and finishing block occurred over the course of two years.

On February 26th Russula granted the 2017 Best Academic Record Awards. The Academic Achievement Awards recognize the academic accomplishments of students enrolled in the school of Industrial Electronic and Automation Engineering at the University of Vigo during the 2017 academic year.
